About SOAPS
The Story Behind SOAPS
SOAPS didn’t begin as a business idea. It began with a simple observation.
After spending over two decades on stage and hosting more than 4500 events across India and beyond, one thing became very clear to Shilpa.
People don’t struggle because they lack ideas. They struggle because they don’t know how to express them.
She saw it everywhere. Brilliant professionals holding back in meetings. Students hesitating to speak even when they knew the answer. Talented individuals losing opportunities, not because they weren’t capable — but because they couldn’t communicate their capability.
She saw it everywhere. Brilliant professionals holding back in meetings. Students hesitating to speak even when they knew the answer. Talented individuals losing opportunities, not because they weren’t capable — but because they couldn’t communicate their capability.
And somewhere along the way, most people had accepted this as normal.
“I’m just not confident.”
“I’m not good at speaking.”
“This is not for me.”
But Shilpa knew something different.
Confidence is not something you are born with.
It is something you build.
And that realisation became the foundation of SOAPS.
What started as a way to share practical knowledge from real stage experiences slowly evolved into something much larger — a space where people could come, practice, improve, and discover their voice.
Today, SOAPS is not just a platform. It is a growing community of individuals who are choosing to express themselves better — in their careers, in their conversations, and in their everyday lives.

If you ask Shilpa about her journey, she won’t start with numbers.
But they do tell a story.
Over 21 years.
More than 4500 events.
Audiences across cities, industries, and cultures.
From small gatherings to high-profile stages, she has seen what works, what doesn’t, and what truly connects with people.
But what shaped her more than the scale of events was the experience behind them.
The moments where things didn’t go as planned.
The times where she had to think on her feet.
The learning that came not from theory, but from real, unpredictable situations.
Over time, she realised that public speaking is not about perfection.
It is about presence.
It is not about sounding impressive.
It is about being understood.
And that is exactly what she brings into every session at SOAPS.
Her approach is simple.
No heavy jargon.
No unrealistic promises.
Just practical, honest learning that helps people become better communicators in real life.
Whether it is a student speaking for the first time, a professional preparing for an important presentation, or someone simply trying to overcome hesitation — her focus remains the same.
Help people move from holding back… to expressing freely.
Because at the end of the day, communication is not about the stage.
It is about the moments that matter.
